Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
Not at all. The quote engine only needs your gender, birth date, general health status, tobacco use, and your desired coverage amount and term length—six pieces of information that take roughly a minute to provide. Name, address, and detailed medical history remain private until and unless you decide to proceed to the application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The figures displayed are quotes each insurer provides for the health classification you indicated. The carrier's underwriting team will then review your application and may upgrade your class, maintain it, or in some cases adjust it based on their detailed assessment. This site contains estimates for comparison purposes and does not constitute an offer or guarantee of any price.
What happens when I click Apply?
You'll enter your name and contact information, and the application form loads prefilled with your responses. The application moves to the carrier's secure environment where you can review, make changes, save your progress, and return later. When you're ready, you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance broker (License 0B75129), manages the application process.
Will I need a medical exam?
That varies. Each carrier makes its own decision based on your age, the coverage amount, and your health history as you reported it. Some carriers offer Immediate coverage and can decide within minutes if you qualify. The quote display tells you whether each option requires an exam, may require one depending on the details, or needs no exam at all.
Is a longer term better?
The right term depends on your timeline. Choose a term that covers the period when your family or business would suffer financially if you died—a mortgage payoff date, when children finish school, or a business loan maturity. Longer terms lock in your rate for more years, which costs more each month but removes rate-increase risk. The quote tool shows all options side by side so you can compare 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 years.
Does this site sell my information?
No. This site does not collect your contact information unless you choose to apply, does not sell or share any visitor data with third parties, and tracks activity without cookies or persistent identifiers. See our privacy policy for the complete inventory of what data is collected and who can access it.
